Ivory Coast National Football Team Squad for World Cup 2026
Ivory Coast coach Emerse Faé has confirmed his final squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The Elephants are back on the biggest stage in football for the first time since 2014, and they will be hoping to make history when the tournament kicks off across the United States, Canada, and Mexico from June 11 to July 19.
A Newcomer Takes the Spotlight
The most talked-about name in the squad is Ange-Yoan Bonny of Inter Milan. The young forward has chosen to represent Ivory Coast at international level rather than France, making his inclusion one of the headline stories of the squad announcement.
Alongside Bonny, Manchester United winger Amad Diallo and RB Leipzig forward Yan Diomande are among the exciting attacking options Faé has at his disposal. Experienced captain Franck Kessié of Al Ahli continues to lead from midfield.
Notable Omissions
Not everyone made the cut. Wilfried Zaha of Charlotte FC, Sébastien Haller of FC Utrecht, and Willy Boly of Nottingham Forest are among the players who did not make the final squad.

In their three previous World Cup appearances, in 2006, 2010, and 2014, they were eliminated in the group stage each time. This year, the three-time African champions will be eager to go further than ever before.
